About DCA

At Dance Craze Academy, we nurture children’s enthusiasm and passion for the performing arts. Through dance, drama, and singing, students grow in confidence, improve memory skills, enhance flexibility and grace, develop spatial awareness, and feel like stars!

Welcome to Dance Craze Academy!

Dance Craze Academy is a performing arts school offering classes taught in English both in Pest and Buda. Established over 25 years ago, our school specialises in a range of dance, drama, singing and musical theatre classes  for all ages and abilities.

Our dance department includes Tap, Ballet, Jazz/Modern/Contemporary, Theatre Dance, Pop Dance, Groove Child, Acro-Dance, Freestyle as well as classes for toddlers, pre-school and adults.

We also provide summer camps, birthday parties, and private lessons (such as wedding dances, choreography for talent shows, or exam preparation). Our experienced and passionate teachers are dedicated to sharing their love for the performing arts with students, whether they are pursuing exams or simply joining for fun and fitness.

We warmly invite students to visit and try classes before committing. Please don’t hesitate to contact us—we’d be delighted to help!

Our Team

Sandra Knibbs

DCA Creator | Teacher (AIDTA, APTD) | Choreographer

Over 20 years ago, I started teaching a handful of eager children, and Dance Craze Academy blossomed from there! Performing arts and working with children is the lifestyle I always dreamed of. My mission is to help students build confidence, grow as dancers, and explore the countless benefits of performing arts.

I am a qualified teacher with the International Dance Teachers’ Association and The Professional Teachers of Dancing, as well as a trained nursery nurse. My background includes RAD and ISTD methods, winning scholarships for training, and spending a semester teaching and furthering my studies in South Africa.

Every year, I update my dance qualifications through private tuition with IDTA Examiners and industry professionals, ensuring I bring the very best to our students at DCA.

Susie Lerch

Dance Teacher | Choreographer

I’ve been passionate about dance ever since I was a child. By my teens, I spent every afternoon and weekend in the dance studio, immersing myself in various disciplines.

I lived in England for several years and have taught in international environments, including three years at the French School of Budapest, where I choreographed shows and taught street jazz and ballroom classes. I’m also a qualified Pilates teacher.

Since joining DCA in 2014, I’ve enjoyed teaching various classes, hosting birthday parties, and contributing to our summer camps. It’s a joy to be part of such a creative and supportive team!

Skylar Herter

Dance Teacher | Singing-Songwriting Instructor

My artistic journey began at Dance Craze Academy, where I discovered my love for singing and dancing. Growing up surrounded by performing arts, I developed a deep passion for creativity and self-expression, leading me to pursue a career as a pop singer-songwriter.

Through self-teaching and perseverance, I honed my skills in music production and performance, competing in national songwriting contests and expanding my knowledge in the field. My experiences taught me resilience, creativity, and the value of lifelong learning.

As a teacher, I’m committed to helping children find their unique voices through singing and songwriting. My goal is to nurture confidence, patience, and emotional growth in a supportive environment.
