Pre-Diploma in Dance Teaching Assistance

The Pre-Diploma course equips 14-16 year olds with essential skills to excel as dance teaching assistants and beyond. As a foundation for the IDTA Level 3 Diploma, it covers practical experience in class assistance, basic choreography, and effective communication. Beyond dance-specific skills, the program fosters crucial abilities like organization, time management, conflict resolution, and personal development. While ideal for aspiring dance teachers, the Pre-Diploma is also beneficial for anyone seeking to work with children or enhance their skills. The flexible schedule and personalized approach allow students to progress at their own pace, with tailored support and guidance to meet individual goals.

Grade 6 Vocational in Professional Dance

Intermediate Ballet

When: Wednesday 18:30-20:00
Where: Budapest, Krúdy Gyula utca 15, 1088

The Intermediate Ballet class offers dancers the opportunity to build on their foundational skills, with a focus on refining technique, enhancing strength, and mastering more complex movements. At this level, students will work on advanced barre exercises, pirouettes, jumps, and center combinations to improve control and performance. This class prepares students for the (Internationally recognized, Ofqual-registered) IDTA Intermediate Ballet exam, which students can choose to take. The class is open to anyone aged 14 and above who have completed the IDTA Grade 5 or has achieved a similar standard in ballet.

Level 3 Diploma in Dance Teaching Assistance

The Level 3 Diploma in Dance Teaching Assistants course is designed for students aged 16 and above who are interested in pursuing a career in dance teaching. The course helps students develop their skills in teaching, class management, choreography, and communication skills.

 

In addition to learning how to assist in teaching, students will also learn the dance grades themselves, from Grade 1 to Intermediate, as dancers. This provides them with a well-rounded understanding of the progression within dance, both as a teacher and a dancer.

 

Upon successful completion of the course and passing the exam, students will receive an Ofqual-registered IDTA Level 3 Diploma in Dance Teaching Assistance. This qualification allows students to work as a dance teacher’s assistant and/or progress to the IDTA Level 4 Diploma course to become a fully qualified dance teacher.

Grade 7 Vocational in Professional Dance

Advanced 1 Ballet

The Advanced 1 Ballet class offers professional-level training. This challenging class focuses on advanced barre work, center combinations, pirouettes, and jumps, pushing dancers to excel both technically and artistically. In addition to developing advanced skills, this class prepares students for the (Internationally recognized, Ofqual-registered) IDTA Advanced 1 Ballet exam. The class is open to dancers aged 16 and over with prior ballet training equivalent to or exceeding IDTA Intermediate Ballet level.

Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching

When: Tuesday 16:30 – 18:00

The IDTA Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching course is designed for individuals aged 18 and above who wish to become fully qualified dance teachers. This advanced course helps students develop their skills in teaching, choreography, class management, and communication at a professional level.

 

In addition to learning how to teach dance, students will study the IDTA Intermediate to Advanced 2 dance exam contents, enhancing their knowledge of dance progression and strengthening their skills to teach students across different levels.

 

Upon successful completion of the course and passing the exam, students will receive an Ofqual-registered IDTA Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching. This qualification allows students to teach professionally as fully qualified dance teachers, opening doors to a career in dance teaching and enabling them to work in a wide range of dance environments.
